7 girls?!?!

Welcome to my first post! As you've probably figured out, I'm a girl mom! 7 to be exact! I got married at the young age of 18. We had only been dating for 4 months, but I knew right away that I wanted to marry the big guy! I never thought about kids and when my husband mentioned he wanted 4, I was in! A couple weeks before our 1st Anniversary, we welcomed our 1st daughter! We had our first 4 daughters in under 5 years! Honestly I think I must have mentally blocked out those early years, because I don't remember it being that bad:) My husband was done at that point and perfectly content to focus on our 4 girls. I on the other hand felt like someone one missing

4 years later after many years of not so gentle nudging from me, we started the adoption journey! After about a year our beautiful 5th daughter was born! I'll save her story for another post, but let me just say that adoption is the best thing I have ever done! 4 years later we started the adoption process again and were matched fairly quickly with another beautiful little girl! 2 days before going to meet her, I miracoulsy discovered I was pregnant (10 years after a vasectomy)! To say we were in shock was an understatement! Sadly our social worker canceled our match and our dreams of adopting again were put on a very long hold. Daughter #6 joined our family and then right before her 1st birthday we were again shocked to discover that baby girl #7 would soon be joining us!

I never in million years thought I'd have 7 kids, let alone 7 daughters, but it's pretty amazing! People always ask me how I do it all, since I'm also a working Mom! My response is always the same! It doesn't matter if you have 1 kid or 10 it's all a challenge! You are responsible for another human and that is huge! I just prioritize! I try not to put pressure on myself to be perfect! Sometimes everything doesn't get done and that is ok! I know my girls are happy and healthy and as long as that is the case, who cares if the laundry isn't all done or the house is messy! Thanks for taking the time to read a little bit about how we ended up with 7 girls and I hope you continue to visit my blog! XOXO

  1. I'm a new mom and my baby is four months old. We breastfeed and bedshare (hadn't planned on the second part). I love your IG and your blog. It helps me craft positive ideas about my future with my daughter, and it gives me perspective on challenging times. Seven daughters, wow! Keep writing and snapping those pictures!

  3. Although the title at first makes little sense, once the content is read, it places it nicely into perspective. The pictures are also really good. Nice approach and well done.
